Mypaid Forte, which contains ibuprofen and paracetamol, can cause various side effects. The most frequently reported side effects include:
- Gastrointestinal disturbances: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, flatulence, constipation, abdominal cramps, and in rare cases, stomach ulceration, perforation, or bleeding (indicated by bloody stool or vomiting blood)[3].
- Dizziness and headache: some patients may feel dizzy or experience headaches[3].
- Allergic reactions: rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty in swallowing or breathing, and rarely, severe skin reactions with blisters or peeling. Immediate medical attention is advised for these symptoms as they can indicate serious hypersensitivity or anaphylactic response[3][5].
- Central nervous system effects: nervousness, drowsiness, and in rare cases, aseptic meningitis (marked by stiff neck, headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, and disorientation)[5].
- Other rare effects: mouth ulcers, cold sores, sunburn-like skin reactions after sun exposure, and blood disorders such as changes in blood cell count may also occur. Chronic use can increase the risk of serious liver or kidney injury and gastrointestinal complications[1][3][5].
Warnings: Prolonged use of Mypaid Forte or exceeding prescribed doses raises the risk of severe liver, kidney, and gastrointestinal side effects. The medicine should always be taken under medical supervision, especially if you have pre-existing health issues or take other medications. If any serious side effects develop, especially signs of allergy (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing), stop the medication and seek immediate medical attention[1][3][5].
Not all patients experience side effects, and this is not an exhaustive list. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if any unusual or severe symptoms occur while using Mypaid Forte.
