Common side effects include:

  • Fatigue or tiredness[1]
  • Joint pain, back pain, or muscle aches[1]
  • Headache and dizziness[3]
  • Constipation or diarrhea[1]

Less common but serious side effects may include:

  • Visual disturbances (blurred vision, cataracts, optic neuritis, retinopathy, corneal changes)[3]
  • Blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, thromboembolic events, stroke)[3][5][7][8]

Kessar contains lactose monohydrate, so those with sugar intolerances should consult their doctor before use[2].
