Common side effects can include:

- Adrenal gland problems resulting in nausea, severe dizziness or fainting, muscle weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, and weight loss[1]
- Low potassium levels, presenting with muscle pain, cramps, changes in heart rate, or weakness[1][3]
- Pancreatitis, with intense stomach/back pain, vomiting, or diarrhea[1][5]
- Swelling in the arms or legs[1]
- Unexplained bruising or bleeding[1][5]
- Personality or mood disorders, potential for psychotic reactions[5]
- Suppressed reactions to infections, and decreased response to vaccines or skin tests[5]
- Eye complications, including increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma[5]
